Sara Edwards is a full-time artist working in acrylics. She paints bright, contemporary landscapes in a distinctive geometric style, which play with the topography of Norfolk’s countryside. These include scenes of the Norfolk Broads, beaches, farming and the four seasons.
The paintings are often composite scenes which amalgamate Norfolk features and landmarks and are suggestive of far-reaching views in the County. They reflect Sara’s heritage as the daughter of a Norfolk farmer and granddaughter of a Norfolk wherryman.
Commissions make up a large part of her work and these include personalised landscapes, homes & gardens, farms and pet portraits. As well as NNAC exhibitions, Sara has exhibited with various galleries and the Royal Norfolk Show. She is co-organiser of the South Yare Art Trail and helps lead the NNAC Life Drawing group.
Sara teaches workshops in acrylics and drawing at her studio in Framingham Pigot and at art groups. Studio workshops are for up to four people in a relaxed environment with gentle guidance and no pressure.
