James Power : Horses in oils
Carole Massey : Acrylic, gels, mediums, palette knives
Willow Centre, Cringleford
Over 40 members and guests attended Carole’s fascinating demo on Saturday.
For the first half of the afternoon Carole painted a seascape using a variety of palette knives and using various techniques and using different mediums.
After the interval she demonstrated painting a poppy with textured petals.
She had also brought along many examples of her work, and these were passed around the audience who appreciated seeing them close up.
Carole also runs a popular series of painting holidays and this information was on hand at the demo.
Ian Mcmanus : Landscape in watercolour
Another full house at The Willow Centre, watched Ian McManus demonstrate his watercolour techniques on Saturday.
Ian painted a delightful summer garden scene as he described his methods and gave us a real insight into how he works.
All those present were grateful for the air conditioning in the building!!
Margaret Glass : Seascape in pastel
Margaret Glass is recognized as one of the leading Pastellists of today. She is a past Vice-President of La Société des Pastellistes de Françe and a member of the English Pastel Society.
In 1992 she was awarded the title ‘Maitre Pastellist’ by La Société des Pastellistes de Françe, only the eleventh artist to receive this distinction. In recent year she has also built up a growing reputation as a talented oil painter, able to capture the light with the same facility as in her pastels.
Margaret is a member of the Institute of East Anglian Artists.
